Founder's Story
Steve got into the trades early, drawn to hands-on work the same way his father was - building a career as a foundryman at Signicast. That example stuck with him, and Steve went on to become a licensed electrician, eventually earning his Master Electrician license.
After years working as a licensed Master Electrician, Steve got tired of watching good jobs get done poorly - not because of the work itself, but because of disorganization and a lack of real preparation before ever showing up at a customer's door. He started Komas Electric to do it differently: show up on time, show up prepared, and run every job the way it should be run from the start.
That same attention to detail - the same discipline he brought to lab work, and the trade sensibility he learned from his father - shows up in every job Komas Electric LLC takes on today. Whether it's a single outlet or a full panel upgrade, Steve treats every job with the same care and precision.
Our Mission: To bring fast, honest, and thorough electrical work to southeastern Wisconsin - treating every job with preparation and care.
Our Vision: To be the electrical contractor our neighbors trust first - known not just for the work we do, but for showing up when we say we will, communicating clearly, and never making a customer feel like their project was too small to matter.
Meet the Family
Steve Komas - Licensed Master Electrician, Owner
Every job gets the same standard — that's the whole point of having Steve on it. As a licensed Master Electrician and certified Wisconsin UDC-Electrical Inspector, he brings the same precision to a single outlet as he does to a full panel upgrade, because the standard doesn't change just because the job is small.
When he's not on a job, Steve is usually just as hands-on closer to home — out on the trap range, on the golf course, or spending time with his wife, three kids, and the family dog. For him, running Komas Electric LLC is really just an extension of the same thing: showing up, doing it right, and taking care of the people around him.
Heather Komas - Business Manager, Finance & Marketing
Behind every job is a business running smoothly - that's Heather's job. From bookkeeping and taxes to the website and marketing, she handles everything happening behind the scenes so Steve can stay focused on the work in front of him.
When she's not coordinating the schedule, Heather is usually just as busy closer to home - leading a Girl Scout troop and staying active in the local school and church community. For her, running Komas Electric's operations is really just an extension of the same thing: showing up, being organized, and taking care of people close to home.
When they're not running Komas Electric LLC, Steve and Heather are usually outnumbered at home by their three kids and the family dog, the real reason 'no job too small' extends to their evenings too.
